The DZ Bank AG has been promoting the work of young artists in the field of contemporary artistic photography since 1993. Prizes are presented in the disciplines “artistic photography” and “accelerated photography/video art” and each is endowed with 12,000 Euros. The awards for 2002/2003 went to Elias Hassos and Salla Tykkä.
Elias Hassos records fragments of reality in classical individual images without any narrative structure.
