Sascha Abel

In his drawings, paintings and photographs, Sascha Abel (*1984 in Bogotá, Colombia; lives and works in Berlin) explores the question of how images of memory change over the course of time. Of particular interest to him are the memories of certain biographical places and spaces from childhood. He draws on the iconography of objective representations of space and superimposes them beyond recognition. This results in vibrating psychograms of emotionally charged architectures.
