In 1986, Serhat Köksal founded the 2/5 BZ project in Istanbul. The output of this constantly evolving multimedia project takes on disparate formats: tapes, video collages, CD-ROMs, audio CDs, photocopied zines and live performances.

Köksal’s work is, in short, a critical and humorous re-use of mass culture. His audiovisual performance NO Touristik NO Exotic was shown in festivals, exhibitions and clubs in 16 countries and 75 cities. The entry point to Serhat Köksal’s new project NO Gasionalism NO Pipeline Bridge is aninvestigation, by means of sound art and visuals, of cultural clichés and their effects on the economic and political situation of individuals: “Against the Wall and Against the Bridge in there.”
