My research is rooted in the idea of collaboration and dialogue between people and how that influences the dynamics of understanding reality. I started by focusing on intimate and closer groups, trying to formalise and visualise some of the possible links between the people involved. From this point, I moved on to bigger and more complex realities, which were no longer merely related to my personal world.
I worked for instance on an entire building and its inhabitants, which I represented as a single living and breathing organic structure. At the same time I focussed my attention on the aesthetical and emotional laws that regulated this structure, while trying to keep alive the idea to represent all those energies as a portrait. My research proceeds by spiralling down through the patterns of the world, which I see as a social, architectonic, relational, formal, and cultural condensation. In doing so, I try to find a way to represent the world with shapes derived from my personal interpretation so as to underline the interdependence between my work and reality.
