The convergence of my various (photographic) works is one of the most important factors in my practice. It is from convergence that I create the whole. I consider my works to be photographic pictorial essays, which consist of stimulating associative combinations of images.
My works put viewers in a position to make their own interpretations. I want to encourage viewers to use their imagination, but the work should also stimulate them to think by themselves and reflect on it. The associative character of my photos allows my images to raise questions. I find it more exciting to give viewers a shove in the back than to explain as clearly as possible the meaning of my images (according to my vision). I try to evoke something from within the viewer, and to challenge him to playfully form his own story.
