Noy and Tamir, an artist duo, activists and educators, have shared a creative journey for more than a decade. Their work is characterized by critical thinking, the expression of a complex self-identity, painstaking craftsmanship, black humour and the creation of large-scale installations.
Selected solo exhibitions by Noy and Tamir have been held at the Herzliya Museum, Petah Tikva Museum, Barbur Gallery, ACC Gallery (Weimar), Tel Aviv University Gallery, Midrash Gallery and the Israel Center for Digital Art, among others. Noy and Tamir have received various awards and grants for their work: the Gilbert Bais Award from the Royal Society of Sculpture, the Alleyne Cooper Award, support for residencies from ARTIS and more. Their practice extends to the delivery of social art projects, artist-led exhibitions, academic lectures, workshops and peer curation.
