Gure Artea is the joint exhibition by the three prize-winners in the most important Basque competition for young contemporary art, won last year by José Ramón Amondarain, Jon Mikel Euba and Pepo Salazar.
The competition is organised by the Basque government’s Ministry of Culture and was first shown in the Artium, the Basque Museum for Contemporary Art.
The illustrations show a neon variation on the band name “Iron Maiden” by Pepo Salazar and a large-format drawing by Jon Mikel Euba, whom the Berlin public have known since his period of residence here as the guest of Künstlerhaus Bethanien.
