Following on from Umfeld Böhme (November 2015) the exhibition Vitales Echo |Vital Echo is devoted to another important artistic ‘impulse giver’ and role model, one of those personalities with the capacity to change things, and prompt innovation.
Just as Böhme is regarded as having motivated the canon of East Berlin sensualism, in Vital Echo the focus is on painter Bernd Koberling (*1938), successful in West Berlin, who functions as a primus inter pares and is much revered for that very reason.
In Vital Echo, Künstlerhaus Bethanien is now showing an exhibition presenting Koberling among some of the many artists he inspired and taught:
Matias Bechtold, Fabian Fobbe, Stefan Hirsig, Stefanie Kabitzke, Daniel Kannenberg, Kanta Kimura, Bernd Koberling, Marco Meiran, Adam Saks, Peter Stauss, Kristjan Steingrímur, Christine Streuli and Filip Zorzor.
