Images from various eras and geographies are spliced and woven together, forming both image and pattern, map and archive. M\u00fcntzing\u2019s current work investigates the history of textile industries and the emergence of early socialist movements. Drawing on the practice of mee-mawing, a secret language used by textile workers that combines mime and sign language, M\u00fcntzing is developing a choreography for radical weavers, in which working bodies speak through movement and entanglement.
