Recurrent in my work are the themes ‘control’ and ‘power’. I approach these as a\u00a0conceptual documentary photographer. Within the theme of \u2018control\u2019 there are two\u00a0different elements that fascinate me. On the one hand, my work deals with the ways in\u00a0which control is exerted within public space. When does architecture constitute an\u00a0expression of power? How do urban planning and architecture determine our\u00a0movements?<\/p>\n

On the other hand, my work aims to discuss ‘control’ in a political sense. What is the\u00a0position of the individual within a predetermined system?\u00a0The ultimate presentation of my images reaffirms my role as an investigator. I present\u00a0them in spatial installations which merge the different aspects of my investigation.
