Kevin Schmidt\u2019s practice serves to question the seamlessness of the entertainment industry through appropriation and makeshift techniques. By mirroring the affective devices of mass entertainment, and leaving evidence of independant production, the artist demistify the seductive element of cultural production. Integral to this approach is a foregrounding of subjectivity and iconographies.
