{"id":11127,"date":"2013-08-07T10:21:33","date_gmt":"2013-08-07T10:21:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zen-morse.176-96-136-90.plesk.page\/?post_type=kb_exhibition&#038;p=11127"},"modified":"2013-08-14T13:54:06","modified_gmt":"2013-08-14T13:54:06","slug":"isabel-carvalho","status":"publish","type":"kb_exhibition","link":"https:\/\/bethanien.de\/en\/exhibitions\/isabel-carvalho\/","title":{"rendered":"Isabel Carvalho"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Isabel Carvalho works with drawing, painting, performance and text; the book as an artistic medium as well as writing and publishing are key components of her artistic production.<br \/>\nCarvalho\u2019s most recent complex of work was inspired decisively by her reading of <em>Tropismes<\/em>, a meticulous prose study of interpersonal &#8220;movements under stimulus&#8221; (this is the physiological definition of the term &#8216;tropism&#8217;) published by writer Nathalie Sarraute in 1986.<br \/>\nThe artist undertakes a complex investigation into the implications of movement \u2013 the individual\u2019s impulses, reactions and associations, and self-reflecting subjectivity.
