While Vogl\u2019s overall concern would be the &#8220;extension of drawing&#8221;, his focus over the past few years has been on &#8220;drawing and light&#8221;, working with shadows, reflections, movement and drawing.<br \/>\nAmong the latest sculptural works of Vogl, presented at <em>abc \u2013 art berlin contemporary<\/em> in 2013, is <em>Sphere<\/em> <em>I \u2013 Wolkenfilmmaschine<\/em> &#8211; a cloud film machine &#8211;\u00a0 where Vogl combined the early film techniques of black stripes and slits with a\u00a0rotating ball and a\u00a0mobile.\u00a0Like many\u00a0of his time-based works <em>Sphere<\/em> \u00ad<em>I \u2013 Wolkenfilmmaschine<\/em> is playful and creates its own magic without ever hiding the simplicity of its creation.
