Taking the form of several installations, <em>Paradox of Plenty<\/em> is composed by three main axes: a critical approach to the nineteenth-century geological museums created after European colonial expeditions to Africa and South America; the so-called conflict minerals or 3TG (Tantalite, Tungsten, Tin and Gold) from these same (neo)colonial territories, that still carry different entropic, environmental, labour and bellic costs; and the lithium fever in Portugal, that has become the scene of a conflict between the political and economic interests and the concerns of local people regarding the environmental and social problems arising from the lithium prospection.<\/p>\n<p>The artist will present a <strong>Performance Act<\/strong> in the installation \u2018New Natures&#8217;, <strong>every Tuesday 17-19h<\/strong> (28.05\/04.06\/11.06) at K\u00fcnstlerhaus Bethanien, and a side programme &#8211; co-curated with Sara Castelo Branco &#8211; composed of an <strong>artists\u2019 film screening<\/strong> named \u201cOut Off Nature\u201d, in <strong>Arsenal \u2013 Institut f\u00fcr Film und Videokunst<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">De Almeida Pinho&#8217;s residency and the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">screening \u201cOut Off Nature\u201dare co-funded by <b>Cam\u00f5es Berlim<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","categories":[],"class_list":["post-25139","kb_exhibition","type-kb_exhibition","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"article_image":25112,"article_image_bu_de":"","article_image_bu_en":"","datum_suche":"2019-05-07 11:42:13"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
