Over a period of several months, she produced printed curtains from photographed fa\u00e7ade sections of the Berlin districts of Kreuzberg and Neuk\u00f6lln in order to place them exactly over the original motif. This change of materiality shakes up the often fragmented cityscape of shop windows, doors, posters, graffiti and stickers. A visual language emerges that is more rooted in the digital and its artefacts. She thus succeeds in transferring these glitches, ruptures and smudges into real space, allowing us to break out of the habitual everyday filter for a moment. Bergholm creates delicate moments of irritation and thus playfully confronts our own perception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phantom Horizons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The on-going screening series <em>Phantom Horizons<\/em> presents digital as well as analogue works that question the paradigm of linear perspective, seeking a new kind of \u201cstatus perspective\u201d [Bedeutungsperspektive]. The latter was a development of ancient and medieval painting, in which the size of figures is determined by their hierarchical significance.
